The Mobile ECO-STUDIO acts as a portable native ecology site distributing restorative desert cacti and seed mix to desert communities within ecologically stressed urban zones. The Mobile ECO-STUDIO spreads a message of self-resilience, food justice, and actualization training residents to plant cacti and spread the desert seed mix in vacant urban space in need. The Mobile ECO-STUDIO conducts workshops on traditional Sonoran desert food practice reacquainting residents with the growth, preparation and tasting of cactus based foods while also collecting digital stories of community relationships with a disappearing native desert ecology.

The Mobile ECO-STUDIO was launched in Phoenix, Arizona where vacant lots comprise 40 percent of the urban land.
